US: Cut Military Aid To Governments Using Child Soldiers

Here's the scoop - Of 10 governments worldwide implicated in the recruitment or use of children as soldiers, nine receive US military assistance. That means getting cheap weapons, military training etc. A new bipartisan bill introduced by 2 US Senators would require these governments to not recuit any more children and reintegrating those they have into normal life. They would have two years to begin and show they're actually trying to do it. If they don't the the government would restrict five categories of US military assistance (International Military Education and Training, Foreign Military Financing, Foreign Military Sales, Direct Commercial Sales, and Excess Defense Articles) until they end any involvement in the recruitmentor use of child soldiers. This bill is at the stage where we need to write to our senators and tell them we support it.
I know most of us don't want to read a whole lot of notes so I put the links below. I would suggest how ever that if this tugs at you in any way to read the attached document on it.
